With just a few days until Christmas, have you thought about ways to minimize waste during the holiday season? Even though we all love ripping open presents and having that element of surprise, being mindful of packaging should be a huge consideration when gifting as a lot of wrapping paper actually can’t be recycled (ex. metallic, glitter, texturized paper) and has to go straight into the trash. Ribbons and bows are also not recyclable. There are creative ways to gift presents like using newspaper (tip: comic section looks great) and recyclable paper or reusable bags. Also, electronic gift cards (ex. Starbucks, Amazon, Indigo, etc.) are another substitute for plastic gift cards. Or maybe this holiday, opt-out on gift-giving because just spending quality time with your friends and family is hands down the best gift you could give as well :) (https://globalnews.ca/news/6293168/no-gift-christmas-environmentally-friendly-choices/)

But if you are still looking for some gift ideas, below are some last-minute eco-friendly gift ideas you can consider (https://www.buzzfeed.com/colingorenstein/eco-friendly-gifts):
